Recent Renaissance Austin Hotel Review: "We came here on a whim, because we love this hotel and had a weekend babysitting my 4 year old grandson. We had a blast! The hotel is gorgeous, clean, close to Cheesecake Factory (we promise to check out Zoe's Kitchen next time), BBQ place, terrific shopping (well, window shopping anyway... couldn't afford Chico's and Pottery Barn...But there's a barnes  and Noble!) Hotel staff is the nicest, the Piano player in the foyer was excellent. The only bad thing was that the concierge room is closed on Saturday, so although they upgraded us - we missed that... Glass elevator was a wonder for the 4 year old... loved that and the pool and the aquarium. The gift shop is stocked with nice and inexpensive things (got me a necklace, earrings and ring - $60). Love it, love it, love it - will be back!"
